For the production of the Ginb carbines two precious oriental woods
are used: the teak doreng and the Sono kembang.
Teak doreng
Its tree has a rather small trunk compared to the common teak, for this
reason it is not used in the furniture industry. It is clear with marked
speckles. Its specific weight is the same as beech, which is normally used
to make series stocks.
Sono kembang
This wood is dark and tough. It is normally used to make sculptures and
objects. The s. k. Presents elegants speckles of different colours; these
characteristics can be obtained by selecting the highest part of the trunk.
Despite its beauty the s. k. Is much heavier than teak, that is to be
considered in the choice of the stocks.
